Kunga Yoga, born out of the commitment to children and community, now offers the opportunity to learn to create and lead yoga practices for children, ages 2-18, that builds on the Kunga Yoga foundational principles. This 18 hour training will equip certified yoga teachers, classroom educators and caregivers with the skills to incorporate breathing, asana, and mindfulness practices into playful, child-centered yoga classes.
Grounded in developmental psychology, Howard Gardner’s multiple intelligences theory, and yoga traditions, Kunga Kids yoga teacher training will engage participants in discussion, games, activities, songs, creative movement and guided visualization designed to stimulate yoga teachers’ creativity. By developing the skills to adapt yoga practice for age groups and individual learners with different needs, Kunga Yoga teachers can empower Kunga Kids to tap into their own strength to cultivate self-awareness and self-moderation, while introducing them to the global community.
This Training is great for Parents, Teachers, Yoga Teachers, Caregivers, or anyone else interested in learning the benefits and tools to teach yoga to children ages 2-18!
