Sarah began practicing yoga more than 20 years ago and through her practice, she discovered the calm and restorative effect of yoga in addition to the physical benefits. After studying the philosophy of yoga, she decided to deepen her practice so that she could share the benefits of yoga with others.
Sarah completed her 200-hour Veda del Soul YTT training with Village Yoga in October, 2022. She is in the process of finishing her RYT certification with Yoga Alliance. Her primary teachers have been Charlee Austin and Kennedy Long at Village Yoga, and Emily Straight in Alexandria, VA.
When teaching yoga, Sarah invites her students to experience both the physical benefits of yoga as well as the restorative power of yoga on both the mind and body through movement, music, and mindfulness.
When she’s off the mat, Sarah enjoys spending time with friends and family, kayaking and paddleboarding, photography, gardening, and walking the beach with her husband and dog.
