What is Personal Training?

Personal training is a one-on-one experience. The goal is to offer varied and progressive plans to ensure improvement in health and wellness.  A personalized exercise prescription will be created and tailored to be unique to your fitness level and goals. Whether you want to lose weight, tone, get strong, or rehab from an injury or surgery, an individual plan, and one-on-one attention will instruct and assist you in reaching your personal health and fitness goals. You will be met where you are.  Personal training will not only keep you motivated and accountable, but will help keep fitness routines dynamic, effective, and fun.

Going in for a joint replacement or repair? We can design a program to prepare you for surgery.  The goal is to increase your mobility and decrease your pain.

Whether you need a nudge or some fresh exercise plans, training will help provide coaching and safe ideas to keep you on a healthy lifestyle.

Meet your trainer:

Denise DeCarlo – Exercise Physiologist

Denise is certified in Hatha Integral Yoga, a practice that combines asana, breath-work, and meditation to achieve physical and mental stillness for inner peace and joy. She began practicing in the 1990s, certified to teach in 2002, and completed her 200 – hour certification with Vimala Ren Fields of the American Healing Arts Studio in Virginia in 2007. In addition to her yoga, she is an exercise physiologist with experience in studios, fitness, and medically-based wellness centers. Denise brings a deep knowledge of anatomy and an ability to help all students find love and stillness in every pose.

As an educator, Denise has presented talks on stress reduction, aromatherapy, and meditation in settings ranging from large corporate training to small groups. Denise feels that as a teacher, one is still always a student, and strives to have the inquisitiveness of a beginner’s mind. Her desire is to bring laughter, light, and love to her students so that they can leave with a smile, walk a little lighter, and love a little stronger.

Cancellation Policy

Payment is due at the time of booking. Please have a credit card on hand to complete the booking process. You may also book your session in-studio using cash or check.

We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Students must contact us directly via email or phone to cancel their private or group session. Without 24 hours notice for cancellations clients will be charged a $50.00 cancellation fee.
