Power of Positive Thinking

Inspiration for this month’s theme is rooted in the motto of the Special Olympics: “It’s all about attitude!”

Over 50 years ago, a book called The Power of Positive Thinking became an immediate best-seller. The author Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, offered a variety of psychological practices to support the individual in developing a daily optimistic mindset for viewing life’s challenges as opportunities.

Meet Our Community – Kerri Conning Chik

Outer Banks Yoga Teacher - Kerri ChikKerri joined our community last year and brings a unique richness of energy to the studio and community. She is one of the co-founders, and yoga teacher, of a local girls empowerment group on the Outer Banks. Her classes are open and free allowing students space to find just what they’re looking for. Meet Our Community – Allie Clupper

Allie is a gentle soul with a strong practice! She loves teaching Yin and gentle styles of yoga but also loves to challenge herself and students during flow style practices. She received her 200-hour certification in Asheville, NC and is currently working towards her 500-hour certification while learning from experienced teachers such as Leslie Kaminoff.
