Join us for a three-night, all-inclusive stay in the heart of Duck, NC; with fully catered, as organic as possible, vegetarian cuisine. The focus of this weekend is to truly unwind and relax!

Throughout the weekend, six gentle and restorative yoga classes will be offered, including Village Yoga’s Hot Stone + Restorative Bliss class. All classes are optional, and guided meditations and pranayama will always be included in each class.

Fall Into Relaxation OBX Yoga Retreat

This retreat is appropriate for people of all ages and backgrounds. We intend to make sure each class is 100% accessible to all body types. In the past, people have not only enjoyed our retreats for the yoga classes and relaxing Outer Banks setting, but also for the connections built between retreat participants. Feel free to sign up with a friend, or come solo, and make a new group of friends!

We strive on each of our retreats to provide a welcoming and inclusive space where you’ll surely fall into relaxation!

What the yoga Retreat includes:

  • 8 Vegetarian meals prepared by a professional chef
  • 3 nights, 4 days accommodations in the heart of Duck
    • Walking distance to Village Yoga and all of our favorite spots
  • Hot Stones + Restorative Yoga Bliss – Think spa retreat meets your yoga practice
  • Daily Gentle Yoga, Meditation, and Pranayama (breathwork) classes
    • Morning and evening classes are offered so that retreat participants can choose what works best for them
  • Free time to explore the OBX or relax around the house!

Retreat Schedule

The retreat will begin at 4:00 pm on Wednesday and end at 11:00 am on Saturday Morning.

Sample Daily Schedule. 6:30 - 7:30: Coffee, tea + quiet time. 7:30 - 9:30: morning gentle yoga practice including meditation and pranayama, 9:30 - 10:00: breakfast, 10:00 - 12:30 Free Time! Nap, Massage, Beach Hot Tub, 12:30 - 1:15 Lunch, 1:15 - 4:00 Free Time, 4:00 - 6:00 Evening Restorative Yoga Practice includese meditation + pranayama, 6:00 - 7:00 Dinner, 7:00 - 8:00 Relax & unwind over tea and dessert.

Cancellation Policy

In the event of cancellation, the following policies apply:

40 days or more prior to the retreat: Your payment can be refunded for a $200 administration fee.

39-15 days prior to retreat: Payments are 50% refundable

14-2 days prior to retreat: Payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Withdrawals from active events or workshops will result in the loss of all fees paid. Active withdrawal applies to any cancellation made within 48 hours of the event/workshop start time.

Charlee Austin -

Charlee Austin 500ERYT + YACEP

Charlee is a certified Ayurvedic Life Coach and 500ERYT. She began practicing regularly in the Spring of 2014 and registered with Yoga Alliance in the Fall of 2014 after completing her 200 hour certification with Village Yoga & The Kunga Yoga School in Duck, North Carolina. She completed the 300 Hour Kunga Yoga Service and Leadership Certification in 2017 at Wilmington Yoga Center; with training in 5Elements Flow, Restorative Yoga, Power Vinyasa, Yoga for Seniors, Prenatal, and Kids Yoga. She received her Ayurvedic Lifestyle Coaching Certification through Katie Silcox and The Shakti School in 2019.

Her primary teachers include Jessica Moody, Katie Kennis, Kristin Cooper-Gulak, Noelle Whittington, and Katie Silcox. She has also had the honor of practicing and studying with Hilary Garivaltis, Rachel Brathen, Rolf Gates, Emilie Perz, and Meredith Hogan. Charlee has led yoga classes in retreat settings in Costa Rica, India, and Hawaii with her primary teachers.

With her new role as studio owner, she strives to carry-forward the heart and soul, along with the foundational visions Village Yoga was founded upon. Her intention is to keep her classes lighthearted and fun, hoping to allow her students to find freedom in their ever-changing bodies and minds. Charlee also enjoys playing harmonium, surfing, snowboarding, traveling, spending time with friends and family!

Kennedy Long - STUDIO MANAGER, 200RYT

Kennedy Long 200RYT + Studio Manager

Kennedy is 200-hour RYT certified in Kunga Yoga, a style of not only teaching but living that focuses on using yoga as a path of service. She began a steady practice in 2015. Kennedy registered with Yoga Alliance in the Spring of 2017 after completing her 200 hour certification with Village Yoga & Wilmington Yoga Center in Duck, North Carolina during the Fall of 2015. Her primary teachers include Noelle Whittington, Jessica Moody, and Katie Kennis.

Since teaching Kennedy has continued her education and completed the 5Elements Flow Training, Yin yoga training, and a Stand up paddleboard (SUP) yoga certification. In 2019 Kennedy started a year long Ayurvedic Lifestyle Coaching program led by internationally recognized Ayurvedic Practitioner, Katie Silcox.

Kennedy dedicates herself to helping, healing, and empowering others through yoga and Ayurveda. She places a strong emphasis on self love, cultivating positivity, and the elements in her classes while also inspiring students to unlock their highest self. With a strong love for the calming effects of the water and yoga; Kennedy is passionate about SUP Yoga and the joy the practice brings.

Tish Vincent

Tish Vincent is the Founder of Lotus & Lentils, catering, education, consulting, and private cheffing business based in Durham, NC. She is also a mother, grandmother, yoga teacher, and runner, with a passion for nature, travel, and connection through meals made with love.

After losing both of her parents to cancer when Tish was in her early twenties, she sought to make lifestyle and dietary changes that would ensure her chances for the healthiest life possible. This journey has led her to research in-depth the extraordinary human body, its miraculous functions, and how to best support them; the journey continues.

Tish is a registered 200 Hour yoga teacher, completing her yoga teacher training in 2015 with Rebecca Niamtu through the Yoga for the Planet school. Her practice and study of the ethical precepts of yoga along with her personal values led her to consider how her lifestyle could have a positive impact for the planet, its people, and the animals. When teaching yoga classes, Tish invites her students to be compassionate to themselves and have fun!

Tish began transitioning away from the “Standard American” lifestyle and way of eating in 2007, incorporating more whole foods, from organic (as much as possible) sources. Her knowledge of food began with years spent in the kitchen with her mother, and over two decades working in restaurants and foodservice management. These life experiences, combined with Tish’s love for people and passion for the environment, motivated her to share her passion with others through her kitchen. 

Her personal values, combined with her years of experience and background in the food industry became the catalyst for Lotus & Lentils. 

She prepares exciting and delicious meals made with a focus on local, organic, whole foods. While chopping and cooking, she purposefully infuses every meal with love. Sharing her love of cooking, teaching cooking classes, and connecting with people while doing so are some of her greatest passions.



What about COVID?

Space in the retreat house will be limited, ensuring that there is plenty of space for everyone. We will not be requiring masks at this time, but you are welcome to wear them if you prefer. The house will be cleaned and disinfected regularly. We ask that you please do not enter the retreat house if you are not feeling well.

Are all the yoga classes required?

All participation is optional to the students, but encouraged for an optimal experience!

What kind of food will we be eating (I have an allergy)?

Our chef will be preparing a variety of vegetarian meals. We will use as locally and organically sourced foods as possible. If you have any dietary allergies, please let us know upon booking. We will try to accommodate allergies as best we can, extra costs may occur.

How far away is the beach?

The beach is about a five to ten minute walk, depending on your own pace!

Do we have free time?

Yes, there will be plenty of free time! Feel free to venture around the Outer Banks, stroll the boardwalk or beach, schedule bodywork, read in the common areas of the house, enjoy the hot tub, or simply nap- it’s your time to relax and unwind!

Is my family allowed to come stay in the house with me?

Due to the limited space available, only paying retreat attendees are allowed to stay in the house. If family wishes to come to the Outer Banks during your retreat, we can refer them to great airBNBs.

Can I bring my pets?

No pets are allowed to come to the retreat.

Will there be alcohol?

Alcohol will not be provided, nor permitted in the retreat house.

I’m new to yoga, will I be able to participate in the yoga classes?

Yes, all yoga classes are designed for all levels of practitioners to enjoy and participate.

What if I want to share a single room with a friend/significant other?

We are definitely able to accommodate that request! Email us to let us know which room you’d like and we can let you know the pricing options.

What is the closest airport?

Norfolk International Airport (ORF). About 1.5 hours from Duck.

How do I get to the OBX?

Coming from the North: Follow I-95 South to Richmond, VA. Take I-64 East toward Norfolk/Virginia Beach, Va. Take I-64 or I-664 to Chesapeake, Va. From I-64, take Exit 291B to Route 168, the Chesapeake Expressway.* Once in North Carolina, Route 168 turns into US-158 East. Follow this road to The Outer Banks. *Chesapeake Expressway is a toll-road with new rates that took effect May 1, 2011. EZPass and SmartTag accepted.

Coming from the South: Take I-95 to Rocky Mount, NC. Take US-64 East toward Rocky Mount. Follow US-64 east through Williamston and Plymouth, NC. From Plymouth, NC keep going east to Roan

Do I have to come for the entire retreat?

You can stay for as long as you like, although we recommend staying the entire time to get the full experience. Payment plans are not available for partial participation.

I can’t afford the retreat, but I really want to come! Are there any financial aid opportunities?

Absolutely! We understand that retreat can be expensive, we offer payment plans, as well as work-trade positions to make our retreat more affordable. If a work trade or payment plan interests you, contact us as soon as possible before these positions fill up!
